Bilingual Family Law Attorney

Because of Ada's strong bilingual skills, it wasn't long before her career took both exciting and interesting turns. Shortly after law school, she worked for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a thoughtful mentor gave her name to a Univision television producer who began inviting her to various nationally and internationally viewed Spanish language television programs that educate the Spanish-speaking public about legal issues.

Not long afterward, Ada began working as General Counsel for Editorial America, the leading Spanish publisher of popular magazines, such as Vanidades, Cosmopolitan En Español, Marie Claire, Mecánica Popular, and many others. Working with the company's nearly 45 subsidiaries around Latin and Central America set the stage for the development of an international clientele later in her career.

When Ada began her law practice in early 1997, family law came calling in the form of her very first case, a paternity case that escalated into a parental kidnapping. She quickly found herself representing many clients with family law issues of all sorts, ranging from divorces and paternity actions to adoptions and gestational surrogacy.

During the early years of her law practice, she became fascinated with not only giving clients what they needed through litigation, but also with the emerging need for negotiation to minimize legal fees. Ada became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and County Civil Mediator in 2005 and a Circuit Civil Mediator in 2009. She presently continues to make frequent television and radio appearances to educate the public about legal rights and issues.

Ada has been featured on nationally and internationally renowned Spanish language television programs including: "TV Mujer", "El Show De Cristina", "Desaparecidos", "Polo Opuestos", "¿Quien Tiene La Razon?", "Casos De Familia", "El Show De Sevsec", "Consultas Con Cordero", "Un Nuevo Dia", "CNN en Español", "Arrebatados" and "Ahora Con Oscar Haza", as well as radio appearances such as "Entre Amigos" with Cristina Saralegui.

Ada and her husband, Manuel Mari, a Miami real estate and civil lawyer, spend their leisure time enjoying Miami's diverse culture, arts, music, and literature, as well as with families.
